“INTERSECTIONS BETWEEN ISLAM, SCIENCE, AND GENDER IN REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH IN EUROPE”
Open lecture to be held next Wednesday, May 20, as part of the permanent seminar series of CEIC-IKI and CI16 Sociology of Religion of the FES, within the framework of the cycle “Secularization, Socio-Cultural Change, and New Religious Subjectivities.”
The session will be led by Dr. Rosa Martínez-Cuadros (Oslo Metropolitan University, OsloMet), Marie Curie postdoctoral researcher, and will explore the intersections between Islam, science, and gender in the field of reproductive health in Europe. This is a particularly thought-provoking topic for reflecting on contemporary transformations in religion, expert knowledge, and body politics.
