The research question we address is the relationship between
goods and local identity in the context of technological change and
globalization. The hypothesis is that there is a strong opportunity for
local identity visibility if local goods are considered as ambassadors of
culture. We will develop this hypothesis in three stages: 1) the
relationships between the identity crisis and globalization; 2) the values
of objects and identity objects; 3) how the technology of augmented
reality can enable this transformation of local goods into vehicles for
local identity and culture (Universal Margin Project).
