Marta Barba Gassó

Marta Barba Gassó holds a Master’s Degree in Feminist and Gender Studies (2014) from the University of the Basque Country (EHU/UPV) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology (2012) from the same university. She is currently a Pre-doctoral Researcher in the Department of the Philosophy of Values and Social Anthropology, registered in the Feminist and Gender Studies Doctorate Program (UPV/EHU) and a scholarship holder in the Pre-doctoral Program for the Training of Non-Doctoral Research Staff of the Basque Government. She is Member of the Interdisciplinary Seminar on Feminist Research Methodology (SIMReF) and of the Environmental Anthropology Network. Currently, she is focusing on the analysis from the feminist anthropology of the relationship between human beings and non-humans, and she is doing her doctoral thesis on the social and cultural processes that affect the cultivated biodiversity based on a case study on two varieties of tomato. She has also worked on issues of feminist methodology as a member of SIMReF and SIMREFJT.
